  I found these when my youngest son outgrew the largest size of Gerber diaper covers. These are so much better than the Gerber covers. They are not plastic, the elastic is soft and doesn't fall apart, and they come in a wider size range. I never had much luck with the velco style of diaper covers; the pull-on style worked much better for me. These also work great over cloth training pants during potty training. This cover over a well-fitted cotton prefold (I pinned mine) is inexpensive, easy to use, and provides bullet-proof protection. After cloth diapering three kids, I wish I had found these sooner!

  I ordered an x-large for my 32 pound 3 year-old. The size guidelines said x-large would fit 32-35 pounds. They are ridiculously huge on him! They come up way past his belly button and balloon out. I can't comment on how effective they are since he hasn't had an accident yet while wearing them. Since they are so big I only use them when I really have to.

  I bought both Dappi and Gerber training pants for my son to wear over his underpants while we potty train and I highly recommend the Dappies. They are more pliable and not as crinkly and uncomfortable as the Gerber pants. Nicer/softer elastic around the legs too. When my son wore the Gerber pants you could literally hear him coming!

  These really work very well. They are just a bit less platiky feeling than the Gerber ones. The Gerber ones make a lot of crinkle noise and feel exactly like a plastic just thicker than your plastic trash bag. These Dappi ones make a lot less crinkle noise and although they are clearly plastic it seems to be a thinner or softer kind of plastic. They go inside the clothes very well. They also wash no problem in my machine. I line dry all diapers and diaper covers. I've let him crawl on my outdoors patio with just these covers on and they have not ripped or shown any damage. Highly recommended. My 23 lbs 11 month old wears the medium size over his size 2 kissaluvs and other fitteds. No leaks, works like a charm!

  My son is 22 months and about 23 pounds. I ordered the medium, and they are quite puffy. Seems like he could have possibly fit into the smaller ones, but since the aren't stiff or bulky, I will just get more use out of them. They should fit for quite a while even though the packaging says up to 25 lbs. I like that the lycra-like band around the legs and waist is soft and has just the right amount of stretch. I also am happy with the nylon material as it is not crinkly or stiff. I use the Gerber training underwear underneath them and have had no issues with leaks. And my son just started potty training so he has soaked his underwear he wears underneath these.
